Terms of Service

By accessing or using Meridian (https://meridian.shayankhalighi.me), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Meridian is a household management app providing shopping lists, expense tracking, task management, and AI-powered features. The service is available as a free tier (with ads and limited AI credits) and a Pro subscription.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account to circumvent credit limits.

Free accounts receive 40 AI credits per month, which reset on a rolling 30-day basis. Additional credits can be earned by watching rewarded ads or purchased as one-time packs. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.

• Pro subscriptions are billed at $2.99/month via Stripe.
• Pro subscribers receive 500 AI credits per month and an ad-free experience.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge.

Free-tier users may see advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the free tier, you consent to the display of ads. Pro subscribers are not shown ads.

AI features (expense analysis, voice shopping) are powered by OpenAI. AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate. Do not rely solely on AI output for financial decisions. Voice audio is processed by OpenAI and is not stored by Meridian.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data.
• Abuse, manipulate, or circumvent AI credit limits.
• Upload malicious content or interfere with service operation.
• Resell or sublicense access to the service.

You retain ownership of content you create in Meridian. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meridian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or financial loss.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
