Privacy Policy

Meridian (https://meridian.shayankhalighi.me) is a household management app that helps you track shopping lists, expenses, and tasks. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. If you have questions, contact us at shayan.khalighi76@gmail.com.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data — your name, email address, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google).
• Content you create — shopping list items, expense records, tasks, and household spaces.
• Voice input — audio recordings when you use the voice shopping feature. Audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription and is not stored by us.
• Usage data — AI credit usage, feature interactions, and error logs to improve the service.
• Payment data — if you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We store only your subscription status; we never see your card details.
• Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, we store your device token to deliver reminders.

• To provide and operate the Meridian service.
• To process AI requests (expense analysis, voice shopping) via OpenAI.
• To send push notifications you have opted into.
• To manage your subscription and billing via Stripe.
• To show advertisements to free-tier users (see Section 6).
• To diagnose errors and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• OpenAI — AI features (expense chat, voice transcription). Audio and text sent to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions and credit packs.
• Google AdSense — advertising shown to free-tier users. Google may use cookies to serve personalized ads.

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in (via Supabase authentication). We do not use tracking cookies ourselves. Google AdSense may set cookies to serve and measure ads. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings.

Free-tier users may see advertisements served by Google AdSense. Pro subscribers do not see ads. Ads may be personalized based on your browsing activity as described in Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via Google Ad Settings.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and content are deleted within 30 days. Anonymized usage logs may be retained longer for service improvement.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

Meridian is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
